Rental Protection Fund
Katie Maslechko is the Chief Executive Officer of the Rental Protection Fund, which provides equity investments to nonprofit housing providers to support the preservation and renewal of existing affordable housing across the Province of B.C.
With deep expertise in real estate and public-private partnerships, Katie has delivered impactful projects across sectors—from affordable housing and life sciences infrastructure to award-winning mass timber developments. She has built her career fostering collaboration across the private development, government, and non-profit sectors, using innovative financial strategies to scale housing solutions.
Under her leadership, the Fund has safeguarded housing affordability for over 3,000 British Columbians and inspired similar models across Canada, including the creation of the $1.5 billion national Rental Protection Fund announced in 2024.

No cash payments at the door.
