The advisory practice is focused on empowering its clients to enable insight from data to enable the long range strategic planning and positioning of commercial and land portfolios.
She presently serves on the advisory boards for two private families and is on the executive of the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. Jennifer is a special advisor to the rennie foundation focused on supporting the giving activities of the 300 people of rennie.

Lauren MacKinnon is the Chief Operating Officer at Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineers, a 55+ year leading structural engineering firm in North America. Her current role encompasses leadership in strategy, operations, human resources, marketing, communications, and business development. Wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment, Lauren focuses effectively on numerous avenues of the business simultaneously with compassion and integrity. Her people-first approach has propelled the deployment of many strategic solutions and operational efficiencies in alignment with the firm’s vision and objectives.
Lauren is also the 2022 President of CREW Vancouver, a chapter that is part of the global CREW Network that supports and empowers the advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry. Through CREW and the many other organizations Lauren supports including serving as Past-President of CSMPS (Canadian Society of Marketing Professional Services), Provincial Director for CFLC (Canadian Forces Liaison Council), and Advisor for WCE (Women in Consulting Engineering), she pursues every opportunity to make positive impacts within the industry and community at large. Lauren has made it her mission to help break barriers for others and is dedicated to giving back in a meaningful way to influence change for future generations.
Brenna Wheatley
Director, Community Business Services

As Vancity’s Director, Community Business Services, Brenna currently leads the organizations Foreign Exchange, Cash Management, Business Lending Analyst and Business Lending Administration teams with a focus on business development, values-based leadership, and employee engagement.
Brenna has been with Vancity since 1999 and spent the first 15 years building her career in a diverse set of roles such as retail lender, licensed investment representative, small business adviser, and micro finance lender. She held leadership roles in the Member Service Center, Visa Division and Branch Network. Prior to her current role, Brenna was a director Retail Credit in Enterprise Risk leading Vancity’s credit risk and analytics team, lending adjudication, lending administration and credit quality teams.
Throughout her time at Vancity Brenna has also had the opportunity to work collaboratively on several different projects, including an approach to delivering the credit union’s Differentiated Member Experience model and was Vancity’s Workplace Transformation Lead with a goal to take remote work to scale across the organization.
Brenna is an alumnus of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values Leadership Academy and has served as a Board member with WORTH association who has a mission to educate, elevate and empower women of recreation, tourism, and hospitality to work collectively to move the dial for equality.
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Brenna has been a Coquitlam resident for the past 26 years. With 2 active kids in sports, Brenna has volunteered over the years for soccer, lacrosse, and basketball clubs in the tri-cities. She and her family also enjoy skiing in the winter and boating in the summer.
Jim Ward
Managing Director, Canadian Real Estate Debt

Jim Ward joined QuadReal in May 2020. As Managing Director, Canadian Real Estate Debt, he focuses on the execution of growth, diversity and servicing of the company’s domestic real estate debt program.
Based in Toronto, and with over 31 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Jim brings a deep understanding of mortgages, CMBS, loan syndication and unsecured debt finance to the QuadReal leadership team. Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President and Head of Canada for the Real Estate Banking Division at Wells Fargo, where he was responsible for spearheading the company’s expansion into Canada. Previously, he held senior positions with CIBC Real Estate Finance, Merrill Lynch Mortgage Lending and London Life.
