Noah Sarna, Partner, Thorsteinssons LLP

Noah is a partner practising in the firm’s Toronto and Vancouver offices.  Noah’s practice focuses on all aspects of commodity tax, including Goods and Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax, provincial sales taxes and property or land transfer taxes, including Vancouver’s vacancy or empty homes tax, B.C.’s foreign buyers tax and speculation tax and Ontario’s non-resident speculation tax.

Prior to joining Thorsteinssons, Noah practiced corporate/commercial and real estate law at a large regional firm. He has written a series of books and articles on various issues in those and other legal areas.

Tim Lack, Partner, Bridgehouse Law LLP

Tim Lack is a founding partner at Bridgehouse Law LLP and has been the responsible lawyer for over 10,000 real estate transactions, acting for banks, credit unions and many other institutional and private lenders. His work with private lenders is extensive and he has been asked to provide numerous expert opinions on private lending issues for litigation lawyers. He has lectured on several occasions to other lawyers on the subject of private lending and protecting the priority of secondary lenders.

Amanda Magee, Director of Business Development Western Canada, Stewart Title

Amanda Magee joined Stewart Title in 2004 and has worked in Title Insurance for 15 years, having been responsible for both the operational and marketing portfolios for Western Canada.

She is a licensed professional with the BC Insurance Council and proudly holds memberships with The Canadian Risk Management Association, The Insurance Institute of Canada, and the Mortgage Investment Association of BC where she served as President for three consecutive terms.

In 2019, Amanda was honored in Canadian Real Estate Professional’s top 50 list of the most influential and successful women working in the industry today.
