Guest Speaker: Graeme Silvera, VP Retail Development - Development Western Region Ivanhoe Cambridge - Caisse de depot (Redevelopment of Oakridge Centre)
Graeme has worked in the real estate industry for over 18 years in sales, marketing and development of single and multi-family residential, commercial real estate brokerage and shopping centre, industrial and institutional development and construction project management. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics from UBC in 1989. He is currently the Vice-President of NAIOP Vancouver, after having chaired the Development Issues Committee for the past several years.
Most recently, from 2002 until joining the Plenary Group in 2006, Graeme held the position of project manager with UBC Properties Trust, managing the construction of a number of new institutional buildings on and off-campus including a Biotechnology Lab, Computer Science Expansion, Chemical Biological Engineering Building, Oral Health Centre and the Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS). Graeme's role at Plenary includes management of the design-build team within the context of bids for Public Private Partnership competitions.
