Travis joined Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's market analysis department in March 2008. As a senior market analyst, he provides analysis, forecasts and commentary on new, resale and rental housing. Travis holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Economics from the University of Victoria, and recently completed a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from UBC. He is also a member of the Association of Professional Economists of BC (APEBC). Prior to joining CMHC, he worked for four years as a senior economic analyst with a transportation consulting firm in Vancouver.
